Chris Cargo

Northern Ireland

Chris Cargo began his career nine years ago, Djing to a loyal following at The Venue, Vicos and The Network in his hometown of Belfast to rapturous responses.

His aptly named Sleuth night, a monthly event in Belfast it attracted the worlds finest dj/producers from the Prog scene running for 4 successful years until its demise in 2001.

Since those days, Chris has graced the decks the world over, devasting dancefloors from Earth in Amsterdam to Tribehouse in Germany with his deep techy but Funky sound, otherwise described as 'perfect sex machinebody music' by DJ Magazine and simply 'inspired' by M8 magazine.
Chris, seen as one of the pioneers of Progressive House in Ireland manages to complement various styles into his djing sets, a journey if you like!

All styles of House Music find there way into Chris’s sets- from Deep Murky House to tough Tribal Beats! Formerly voted Irelands best up and coming DJ by BBM.

The step to production has been more than a natural one for Chris, with his productions and remixes perfectly complimenting his Djing style, but his tracks have proved to be a lot more than just elements of his sets. Continued support from Satoshi Tomiie, Danny Howells and Danny Tenaglia to name but a few, more than confirms this. Appearances on major compilations such as Rennaissance Masters, Seb Fontaines Prototype 2 and Danny Howells Nocturnal Frequencies 2 as well as compilations by Anthony Pappa, Slinky World Class, Privledge-Ibiza and many more have further confirmed Chris's wide appeal and quality output.
Regular gigs in Ireland plus regular work throughout Europe, Asia and the USA as well as his amazing forthcoming tracks for Choo Choo and Hook Recordings pus various remixes all add up to the fact that ignoring this talent would be just silly, so don't.
