For Tobi (da GREED) WIRZ, the man behind SOGrecords (SOGchrome and SOGliquid) 2004 will perhaps be his largest year yet. In the 12 months to the end of 2004, he will have released 12 (TWELVE!!) originals and remixes on labels ranging from VAPOUR, LOST LANGUAGE, FEED ME and of course SOG. His GREED FEAT LESLEY “WATCH” has been on rotation on Swiss national radio and is now being considered for the next COKE LIGHT commercial. To cap it all off, it has now been taken up for an MTV film clip in collaboration with WARNER Swtizerland’s DJ ENERGY.

On the live front, when da GREED dons the bass (he has a 17 year history in everything from heavy metal to jazz bands and is currently bassist for the Swiss heavy metal band DUALITY OF MIND), the exotic Swiss/Egyptian/American Lesley Meguid still joins him on stage with that intoxicating voice of hers and long time drummer friend Lukas Landis.

Their unique brand of dance music with real instruments has garnered them praise from every corner (as most have not realised that this has been possible) with requests for gigs coming from all corners of the world…

Having spent the last several years developing their own unique sound, each forthcoming releases is becoming increasingly more song-based and musical rather than straight out throbbing dance tunes; each track is becoming more experimental with their trip hop elements or distinctive beats.

Did I just hear the word ALBUM? It’s in the making for 2005. Stay tuned.
